How can I know about the various programmes?

You can visit the website or watch out the press releases. A better option is to join the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium club by which you receive an email intimation.

 

My son is interested in astronomy. He is only six years old. How can I make the best use of planetarium?

We have the programme called “KNOW YOUR STARS” on the first Sunday of every month; on the third Sunday we screen a science film. Both of these will be appreciated by him.

 

We have about 30 students in X standard. We would like to bring them for the shows. However, we cannot book a show only for 30. What is your suggestion?

We suggest that you bring them together for the public shows preferably in the forenoon during week days.

 

Can you please let me know the Summer programs for Children. How do I enroll my son’s name who is nine years old.

Summer activities will start from the first week of April. Your son can be enrolled for a Tiny Tots programme. He should be completaed 3rd standard.

 

Are the public allowed to make use of your library?

NO. Only the students attending yearlong science programmes at Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium can make use of the library. It is not for the public.

 

We have guests from abroad of about 10. Is there any facility to book tickets online? As we are coming from far off place, can you reserve 10 tickets for us?

How much time can we spend in the Planetarium campus?

Sky-theatre show : 40 mins; Exhibition hall with colourful posters of a particular programme : 15 mins; visit to science park where about 60 science models are displayed: about 60 mins. Total time required would be about two to three hours.
